Schools App — Request data deletion

In the Schools App, the information about you and your children is added by your child's school, so only the school can decide to delete it. Use this page to send the school a deletion request. We send it to the school's administrators, and they will review it and contact you.
We'll send a 6-digit code to it, to confirm the request is from you.
What happens next
- The school's administrators with full rights are notified in their app and by email that you asked for your data to be deleted.
- The school's administrator will get back to you, and your data will be deleted within the next 24 hours.
- Changed your mind? Come back to this page, choose Cancel a request and confirm with a new code. The school is told not to delete anything.
What is deleted, what is kept
- Can be deleted by the school: your name, phone number and email on your children's records, which removes your access to the app; your children's records, photos and attendance history, where the school agrees.
- Removed by signing out of the app: the school data saved on your phone and the notification token.
- Kept by us temporarily: sign-in codes expire within minutes and are overwritten. This request itself is kept for up to 12 months as a record that you asked.
- May be kept by the school or the law: records the school must keep under education, safety or financial rules, for the period they require.
